EBSU 2013 Set Acting President Mandates Constitution, Sets January 15 Election Date

The Acting President of the Sociology and Anthropology 2013 set from Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, Nnaji, Emmanuel Anike, has called on all members to take ownership of the association’s constitution, describing it as a binding document that must be respected by all.
In a statement issued and made available to newsmen, Anike urged everyone on the platform to download and keep a personal copy of the constitution, stressing that ignorance of its provisions will no longer be accepted as an excuse for non-compliance. He noted that while the interim administration handled constitutional matters with flexibility, such leniency would not continue going forward.
The Acting President also reminded members of the Election Committee that 15th January 2026 remains sacrosanct for the conduct of the association’s election and the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected officers. He expressed confidence that the committee is already putting necessary arrangements in place to meet the deadline and deliver a free, fair, and credible election. Anike further called on all members to cooperate fully with the Electoral Committee in an orderly manner to ensure a smooth process. He also encouraged members to turn out en masse on election day to exercise their voting rights and strengthen the democratic process of the association. According to him, collective compliance and active participation are crucial to sustaining unity, order, and progress within the 2013 Sociology and Anthropology set.
