The Special Assistant on New Media to the Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, Mr. Christian Ozichukwu Uneke, has commended Senator Professor Anthony Okorie Ani for facilitating the employment of over 30 constituents into various federal government establishments within his first 18 months in office.
Mr. Uneke gave the commendation while reacting to a recent appointment letter issued to Mr. Victor Nnanna Aja by the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, where Aja was employed as a lecturer through the intervention of the lawmaker.
Describing Senator Ani as a committed and result-oriented representative, the Special Assistant said the Senator’s quiet but impactful leadership has transformed the lives of many constituents across Ebonyi South.
According to him, beneficiaries of the Senator’s employment facilitation span key federal institutions and agencies, including Mr. Chidiebere Ezeani of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri; Pius Chibuike Uzor of the Nigerian Navy; Innocent Ikechukwu Okorie of the Nigerian Air Force; Dr. Millicent Chidubem Okonya-Chukwu of Asokoro General Hospital, Abuja; and Miracle Ogbonnaya Okereke of the Nigerian Defence Academy, among others.
“My boss is a silent achiever who has not only facilitated employment opportunities for many qualified constituents but has also enhanced admissions into institutions of higher learning across the federation,” Uneke stated.
He further disclosed that verified contacts of over 30 beneficiaries currently serving in different federal ministries, departments, and agencies are available and can be provided whenever the need arises.
He therefore advised what he described as “hired backstabbers” to desist from campaigns of calumny against the Senator, urging them to consider posterity.
Beyond employment facilitation, findings revealed that Senator Ani has also executed several empowerment initiatives across the senatorial zone.
These include the distribution of about 5,000 bags of fertilizer, 5,000 cartons of herbicides, 65 motorcycles, 8,000 bags of rice, 800 cartons of liquid fertilizer, 600 charcoal stoves, large quantities of wrappers, as well as cash grants totaling ₦50 million, among other interventions.
The developments, stakeholders say, underscore Senator Ani’s commitment to human capital development and grassroots empowerment in Ebonyi South Senatorial District.
