2027: Anyichuks Emerges As Ebonyi PDP Governorship Candidate

‎ ‎ ‎The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State has elected businessman and philanthropist, Ifeanyi Odii, also known as Anyichuks, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election.

‎ ‎Odii emerged unopposed during the party’s primary election held across the 13 local government areas of the state yesterday. ‎ ‎Announcing the result in Abakaliki, Chairman of the PDP Governorship Primary Election Committee, Mr. Olalekan Rotimi, said Odii scored 8,281 votes and satisfied all party requirements. ‎

‎He described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and credible. ‎ ‎Speaking after his victory, Odii thanked party leaders, delegates and supporters for their confidence in him. ‎ ‎He promised to focus on economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructure, education and healthcare if elected governor. ‎

‎Odii also called on PDP members to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party would reclaim power in Ebonyi State. ‎ ‎The State PDP Chairman, Chief Chukwuma Igwe, described Odii’s emergence as proof of the confidence party members have in his leadership and grassroots support. ‎
